I’m Klaus Piechocki (pier-ho-tski)
I’m a freelance tarot and oracle card illustrator and novelist based in West Yorkshire. Illustrator of The Hierophanies Tarot.
I’m a proud bisexual trans man, and my work tends to be queer. Much of my self initiated work explores gender and diversity. An ongoing theme of my work is drawing beautiful and ornate portraits of men, because I think we don’t see enough positive representation of men and masc nonbinary people exploring femininity. I’m currently working on an academic project about the queer uncanny.
I specialise in portraiture, narrative illustration and surface design. I work in both a semi-realistic style using pencils and copic markers, and also paint digitally. I often use analog and digital tools interchangeably for a single piece.
I recently published a self-initiated 81 card LGBTQ+ tarot deck, The Hierophanies Tarot, which I illustrated. It’s currently being stocked in several shops, including Watkins Books, London.
